Welcome to Professor William Pinar's guest lecture on curriculum and the potential of curriculum design in education at the University of Helsinki on Tuesday 11 December!

Dr Pinar is a Professor and Canada Research Chair at the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy, Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia. He is well known for his work, not only on curriculum theory, but also gender and international studies. His award winning book What is Curriculum Theory? was re-published in 2012.

This guest lecture comes at a crucial time in Finland as the National Board of Education is preparing a new national core curriculum:
