International Conference organized by LaNKa - Forum for Childhood and Youth Research at the University of Jyväskylä, the Finnish Youth Research Society and the Finnish Network for Childhood Studies.

The programme includes Keynote Lectures with invited commentaries and open discussion. In addition, the second day of the conference includes workshops for researchers.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The conference offers an interdisciplinary forum for dialogue and exchange of innovative ideas regarding studies about childhood and youth. We warmly invite all researchers who are interested in the research on children, childhood, youth and their growing environments. The main objective of the conference is to discuss themes related to social care vs. social control of children and young people. We welcome abstracts for workshop presentations and for poster presentations.

- Abstract submission: August 31, 2008.
- Notification of acceptance: September 15, 2008
- Pre-registration (all participants): September 26, 2008
