7.12.2006: CICERO Learning Debut in Helsinki
Around 140 people from Finland and abroad took part in the CICERO Learning Debut, which took
place in Helsinki on the 7th of December. The participants included professors, researchers and representatives of educational institutions and academia,
representatives of business and industry, as well as students and members of the general public.
The first part of the programme was broadcast live on the internet and is now available as a recording (please see below).
The speakers at the event are
Professor Ilkka Niiniluoto, Rector of the University of Helsinki, Professor Kristiina Kumpulainen, Director of CICERO Learning, Professor Erno Lehtinen, Vice-Rector of the University of Turku,
Professor Arto Mustajoki, Academy Professors Mikko Sams and Risto Näätänen, Professor Pekka Himanen and Professor Roger Säljö.
The presentations were all given through the medium of English, apart from a few words in Finnish by Rector Niiniluoto in his opening speech.
